30 June 2007

Today I traveled to my last area and took a picture of myself in front of the last place where I lived. You can't see her, but there is a babushka sitting on a bench behind me. She was giving me the evil eye as I walked around trying to figure out if this was the place where I used to live. Babushki are the gate keepers here.
I don't worry about dying and ending up somewhere that I shouldn't be. I figure there are Russian babushki chillin in front of most of the gates who aren't afraid to reprimand you if you're going somewhere that you're not supposed to or if you aren't dressed warm enough for the weather.

Gotta love the babushkas. That's funny that they have them as the gatekeepers...they must be pretty tough ladies. That's cool that you get to go back to all of these places from your mission!
